Data Deletion
How to disconnect a Meta account from WeDo Posting, remove a single Facebook Page or Instagram destination, or delete your account and all of the data we hold for you.
1. Deleting your data
You can remove your data from WeDo Posting yourself at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account entirely. This page explains both, including exactly what is deleted and what stays behind.
2. Disconnect a Meta account
Disconnecting removes our access to one Meta account and everything reached through it. Your other connected Meta accounts are unaffected.
- Sign in and open Social accounts from the sidebar.
- Find the Meta account you want to remove.
- Select Disconnect and confirm.
3. What disconnecting deletes
When you disconnect a Meta account we withdraw our application from that account at Meta, erase the stored access tokens for the account and for every Page belonging to it, and stop all publishing to its Pages and Instagram accounts. The Page and Instagram records are kept in a disabled state so your past publishing history stays readable; ask us to delete your account if you want those records removed too.
4. Stop publishing without disconnecting
If you only want one destination to stop receiving content, switch it off instead — the authorization for the rest of the account stays in place.
- Open Social accounts.
- Find the Facebook Page or Instagram account you want to pause.
- Turn off its toggle. It stops being an option for publishing immediately.
5. Remove our access from Facebook
You can also revoke access from Facebook’s own settings, where Meta lists the apps connected to your account. This immediately invalidates the tokens we hold. Our stored records are not removed by this action, so follow it with a disconnect or an account-deletion request if you want the records gone as well.
- On Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
- Open Apps and Websites.
- Select WeDo Posting and choose Remove.
6. Remove other data yourself
Several kinds of data can be removed directly in the product: an AI provider key under Settings, then AI providers, using Remove; reference images inside a subproject; and whole projects with Archive project, which also cancels their scheduled runs.
7. Delete your account and all data
To have everything deleted, email mountainmediacontact@gmail.com from the address associated with your account, or from an address we can verify, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm ownership before acting. We complete verified requests within 30 days and confirm by email when the deletion is done.
8. What account deletion removes
A verified deletion request removes your user record and sign-in identity, every connected Meta account together with its stored access tokens, every Facebook Page and Instagram account record, your projects and subprojects, uploaded reference images, generated images and captions, schedules and repeating plans, your saved AI provider keys, and your publishing history including the identifiers of posts we published on your behalf.
9. What we cannot delete for you
Content that has already been published to Facebook or Instagram lives on those platforms and is controlled by your Page or Instagram account, not by us. Deleting your data here does not remove those posts — delete them on Facebook or Instagram directly. We may also retain records where the law requires it, and ordinary backups can persist for a short period before they expire.
10. Contact
For any question about deleting your data, contact WeDoPosting at mountainmediacontact@gmail.com. If you have already lost access to your account, tell us the Meta account you signed in with so we can locate your records.
